iTunes Sync

Sync iTunes to almost any portable music player.

So your iPod went to that great electronics graveyard in the sky, and you decided to replace it with, say, a Creative Zen. The problem is, your music library is all neat and tidy inside iTunes, complete with painstakingly crafted playlists. Do you really have to switch to another music manager and recreate your playlists from scratch?

Not if you put iTunes Sync to work. True to its name, this Windows utility can sync any iTunes playlist to a wide variety of portable players, including some cell phones. One caveat: iTunes Sync currently works only with players that are assigned a drive letter when plugged in. That includes models like the BlackBerry Pearl, Creative Zen Stone, and Motorola RAZR V3 (click here for a complete list of tested players). If your player shows up as an MTP device, you're out of luck--at least until the program's next release (which will include MTP support, according to the developer).
