icon dissapears

hi

when ever i empty my recycle bin in vista my icon dissapears, but when a refresh my screen it comes back. what is the cause of this problem?

I know that usually it will dissapear an come back if it usually a malware or RAM issue.

IVE GOT 2GB MEMORY which i dont think memory is the issue

What do you mean by "refreshing screen"?

I have seen this happen when there is more than 1.5 / 2G in the Recycle Bin.

"refresh" meaning when i press the F5 key. I do not bin anything that size patio. when i empty my recycle bin, the icon just disappear, to bring it back i press the F5 key which i really dont think i have to. plz help me experts, its bugging me.

How EXACTLY do you empty Recycle Bin?

by right clicking on the recycle bin and then clicking on empty recycle bin.

See, if same thing will happen, if you actually open Recycle Bin by double clicking on it, and THEN clicking on Empty Recycle Bin

but the recycle bin icon just disappears, its just goes invisible, i cant see it unless i refresh it.
