« on: March 30, 2008, 06:51:51 AM »
My pc will only start in safe mode. If i do not start it in safe mode then after about 10seconds of booting up the monitor just seems to switch itself off. If anyone could help i would really appreciate it. I havent got a clue what to do  :-[

I'm using microsoft windows XP service pack 1.
There hasn't been any error messages.
I'm using a desktop computer which i think is a typhoon make.
Last night i reformatted due to a seperate issue and the probelm started when the reformatting had finished.

Why no SP2 ? ?
After formatting how did you re-install XP ? ?

Sorry, what i meant is the problem occured after XP was installed. No SP2 because the problem started before i got chance to install it.

I would do another clean install...

Boot to the XP CD and have it remove the partition and re-create it.
Install XP.
Re-boot and install the MBoard drivers.
Install the video drivers if applicable.
Install SP2.
Then your protection apps before you go online.

If you still have issues with this method you either have an overheating problem or power issues...
