MaxBlast software should only be used for Maxtor drives.
You should only be using the latest version.
Maxtor has been bought by Seagate so if these drives are newer you should be using the Seagate software.

But we've been through all of this before and it seems like about every 3 months it starts all over again.

Heres something new okay I put in norton so that it could do a memory scan cause I couldnt find the link PAtio usually puts up for it.  So now it locks up right in the logo before the post, I have to force it to the BIOS an for it to post, then it ends up stopping an wont go into windows.  It doesnt even boot to the cd drive.

        1.  Memory.  You can test the system memory using "MemTest86" located at www.memtest86.com.  Follow the "Free Download" link on their website and read the documentation on how to use the program.

Of course you need the system to POST before you'll be able to run it.  Does the system successfully POST?

        2.  Locks Up.  Do you know about "thermal paste" (or something equivalent) that's placed between processor and heatsink to facilitate heat flow from processor?

I'm going to see if connecting an IDE drive wont help.

An error cam up that I noticed when enter the BIOS , Primary Master DRive - ATAPI incompatible.  So I disabled the DVD Drive ened up haveing to unplug it.  It works okay an boots into windows but the HD still have the problem an the IDE still sees it.  So I ran Norton an I told it to scan the pc but I dont know if it did the RAM but it didnt find anything.

Do it scan the RAM as well when I tell it to scan the pc.  Or is it a seperate command?
