    Sending commands accross/through networks

Hopefully posting in the right place. Sorry if not.

I have a server setup that waits for incoming transaction strings. I want to either create batch files or use some kind of software that will send what I want to that server and also through a specific port. Is there a DOS command or something that will send my code to a particular port and ip?

    Thanks for the help.

    Example: I want to send "<hello world> <this is my computer>" to IP "192.168.2.1" on port "2000".
