Go Start>Run, type in:
cmd
Click OK.

In Command Prompt window, type in following commands, and hit Enter after each one:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Restart computer.

So I did another google search and found a site called The Cloak and if I try to get on through that site, I can connect.

Could my ip some how have been blocked?

In Windows XP, go Start>Run
In Vista, go Start>StartSearch

Type in:
cmd

In Windows XP, click OK.
In Vista, hit Enter.

Command Prompt window will open.
Type in:
regsvr32 wuapi.dll (<----watch for "space" after "regsvr32")
Hit Enter.

Repeat same regsvr32 command for following files:
wuaueng.dll
wucltui.dll
wups.dll
wuweb.dll
atl.dll
softpub.dll
wintrust.dll
initpki.dll
mssip32.dll
softpub.dll
wintrust.dll
initpki.dll
dssenh.dll

Restart computer, and try to access web site(s) in question again.

...  This is the first time I've visited a site where I could reach it via domain name, but not by IP address.

It is hosted by a virtual server.  When your browser sends the request, it also sends the host name so the virtual server can match up the request with the correct page.

Domaintools.com says the kaboose.com server (i.e. that IP address) hosts 312 other sites.

But that's nothing.  The server my website is on hosts over 900 sites with one IP address.

So if the domain name doesn't resolve on a virtual server, you're done -- you don't get to your target site.  The server must be blocking the original poster's IP address.

I actually talked to the company yesterday and was told that they are having technical difficulties. Some people can get on and some people can't. I am obviously one who can't.  I am glad to know that it isn't something on my end.
