    So....

Anyone ever figure this one out?  Really odd to randomly have my text start typing backwards.  Malware scan was clean, home/scroll buttons are not stuck, and I'm not attempting to write an essay in Persian or Syriac.  I need answers here, keep 'em rolling.

Edit: I double checked and I'm pretty sure this keyboard never belonged to Da Vinci either.

Indy reply #5 above I gave links to modern languages that print right to left.
If the OP lives in one of those areas, it would be the default setting for his region.
    Quote
Some writing systems of the world, including the Arabic and Hebrew scripts or derived systems such as the Persian, Urdu, and Yiddish scripts, are written in a form known as right-to-left (RTL), in which writing begins at the right-hand side of a page and concludes at the left-hand side. This is different from the left-to-right (LTR) direction used by most writing systems in the world. When LTR text is mixed with RTL in the same paragraph, each type of text is written in its own direction, which is known as bi-directional text. This can get rather complex when multiple levels of quotation are used.

Many computer programs fail to display bi-directional text correctly. For example, the Hebrew name Sarah (שרה) is spelled: sin (ש) (which appears rightmost), then resh (ר), and finally heh (ה) (which should appear leftmost)

That is from Wikipedia.  So if you live in Egypt and write in both Arabic and French, yu might have a document where both in in a single document and the keyboard directions with flop yu move from one language to to next.
So, it is not malware. It is where you live and what you do.  :)

There are 3 fixes in this never-ending Topic that apparently all worked had he read it thru...

What if the issue is only intermittent?

      Was it?  Define intermittent.
occurring at irregular intervals; not continuous or steady.
      "intermittent rain"

Not the same as poorly understood or "not logical" paradoxical behaviour.

The OP gave limited information about what he saw. He did not understand what he saw.

      More research on this topic.
What might be a "bug" to one user is a feature for others.

Windows 7 and up has the ability to do type backwards typing and then switch
directions quickly, as the user wishes.

Here is a  recent article about this feature.

How to change paragraph direction in windows 7 wordpad for right to left languages?

      Quote
There is no button or menu option to change right to left direction in Windows 7 Wordpad. In toolbar you can only find alignment buttons which is not useful in this case. But still the worpad support windows global hotkey for switching between right-to-left and left-to-right directions.
But it is not hard at all. In fact, you might  it by accident.  :o
      Quote
Right to left: "Control + Right Shift"
Left to right: "Control + Left Shift"
Maybe next year the OP  come back and confirm this.  :P

      Clarification:
"Left Shift" is the shift key on the port side.
"Right Shift" is the shift key on the starboard.
