      Just what I said.
I am unable to d/l & install flash player.  What else do you want me to say?

I can't view certian things, it says I need flashplayer.  I go to the install page and try to install and it won't install.

      Uninstall, using this: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
      Try installing again.

I clicked on your link and a box popped up saying:

Cannot retreive a valid prog ID of class:
        MSXML2.XSLTemplete.3.0. (original execption: undefined)

It says my current security settings do not allow this file to be d/l.

I was able to finally install the uninstall, but I don't think it did any good, but I don't know how to tell.  I tried to install the new flash player, but it would not install.
It keeps coming up with the ID box.

Try Firefox. What Windows version, if I may ask for the second time?

Look, I'm sorry. It doesn't happen to me too often, but I'm losing patience.
I'm not planning on spending a whole night in just this one thread, because your few words answers.
So, it may be my last reply, unless, you'll decide to help us to help you.

What does it mean, Firefox is fine? Does it play Flash on web pages? Can you download/install, using Firefox.
                  I expect full answer.

You don't need to lose you paitence with me.

I'm doing the best I can!  Forget I even have firefox!  It doesn't matter.  I am running windows XP Professonal with Internet Explorer.  I go to use the Fan watching the news and it says I need Adobe Flash Player 9.

I am not able to install it.  That is all there is to it.  I have sat here waiting on all evening, there is no need for you to disrespect me.

OK. Firefox plays Flash web pages, but IE doesn't. Is that it?
                        If so, what IE version?

                          That is correct.

                          It's IE7, the latest

Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). See, if it'll play Flash.

Uninstall IE7 through Add\Remove. It'll revert to IE6. See, if IE6 will work.

I went into manage add-ons and enabled active X.

                              It is now working.
