    System Restore help
    « on: June 12, 2008, 05:39:37 AM »
Well since yesterday, my laptop has been dead slow. I've got rid of all of the invalid registry files etc. Now I can't access my power options on my laptop and system restore. When I try to access System Restore, I get this message.

    Can anyone help?

If it helps, I'm running on Vista.

    Cheers.

I brought Advanced Uninstaller 8 a while back after a friend recommended it me.

Also, I have 140 gig of HDD (of which Ive got 60 GB remaining), 1 gig of RAM. I've also ran a deep anti-virus scan using AVG (took 3 and half hours) which resulted in no viruses. So yeah, I hope this info helps too.

Try using Last Known Good Configuration.

Restart the computer but as it starts up, keep pressing the F8 key until you get some options. Choose Last Known Good Configuration and press Enter.
