Safe mode lists the drivers as they are loaded. crcdisk.sys appears to be the one causing the significant lag. If we can determine what crcdisk is for, perhaps we can try to narrow down exactly what is causing it to take so long to load....


I've looked around, and from what I can tell from your posts, your computer is a laptop... a Toshiba one at that. This fellow here had a similiar problem (albiet he had to wait longer) http://experienciasnet.blogspot.com/2007/02/crcdisksys.html

short story- is your Power Mode set to High Performance? If so maybe setting it back to balanced will fix it.
