    PC Diagnostic tool?
    « on: June 13, 2008, 08:58:32 AM »
In the same way that you can hook up a Car engine to a pc and have it tell you exactly what's wrong with the car, is there any such tool/sofftware that can tell you what's wrong with your pc? Eg., let's say you are having trouble with a cd rom, can the tool/software tell you where the trouble is? If so, is it effective.

There is diagnostic software for this and has been for years in auto repair shops. The thing is it is VERY expensive. It's not something the average mechanic can afford.

I think he is talking about a hardware diagnostic tool.

If so, you should be able to find one on the manufacturer's website.
