    Preventing Virtumonde

    Is there any programme that can sucessfully prevent Virtumode and its variations there seems to be plenty of advice on removing these pests but I am looking for s programme that prevents them in the first place. I run XP Pro with PC Guard, Spyblaster,Spybot.Spyhunter,Trojanhunter,Windows Defender. They all find parts of Virtumonde but none seems to prvent it.

    I think you're looking for an Antivirus software, not Antispyware software.

    I suggest going with AVG 8.0. It is free and highly recommended here in the forums to users without antivirus software.

    Throwing the mouse in the trash is the only way to prevent it. Don't click on anything you aren't completely sure is safe and you will reduce the chances of  having any problems with it.
