    Windows chat

Sorry I'm having trouble understanding this.  http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?ln=en-us&x=14&y=9&prid=3518&gprid=185522#hoursOfOperation  It says for Individual Chat Support No-charge: 2 support requests
Installation support - Unlimited no charge by phone.  Is this meaning that you only get free help twice for free?
Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

If I fall who is there to pick me up now.  I stand alone but I stand as the gaurdian for whom I wish to protect.  The sound of my blade utters my name as you fall.  For I shall not move.  For those that forsake the very people are wosres

If you got Windows from the store (didn't come installed with the computer) then yes it would be free. However, if you're worried about being charged simply make sure you're dialing the 800# and that you're not giving away any credit card #.

@Squall: if you are referring to my post, it wasn't meant to be funny - it was meant to be helpful. Are you trying to activate a copy of Windows?

                  I don't know about Chat.

Why don't you try calling them:

How to activate Windows XP by phone
To contact a Microsoft customer service representative to activate Windows by phone, follow these steps:
                  1.   Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Activate Windows.

Or, click the Windows Activation icon in the notification area.
                  2.   Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to active Windows now.
                  3.   Click Read the Windows Product Activation Privacy Statement, click Back, and then click Next.
                  4.   Follow the steps in the Activate Windows by phone dialog box, and then click Next.

Note The number appears now and differs based on the location that you select.
                  5.   When activation is completed and you receive the following message, click OK.
You have successfully activated your copy of Windows.

                  Good luck.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?
