IE7 No "Lock" Icon for https Sites
    « on: August 04, 2008, 02:48:53 PM »
I very seldom use IE but was helping my wife figure out what Windows Live is. She went to http://home.live.com/ in FF3 and got a security certificate warning when she clicked on "Sign Up", so I had her go to the site with IE. IE7 connected with "https" in the address bar, but, there was no lock symbol on the bottom. Tried a couple other secure sites - no lock symbol.

Does IE7 not use the lock symbol?

    Thanks.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

As far as I know, IE7 only shows the lock icon on the right side of the address bar. You can click on it to view the certificate.
