 :(

I don't like it how its your Username, an image bar, rank, rank bar.
(text, image, text, image)

It stands out far too much I think.

I'll have to admit...

The Topic Starter image is like having one pimento in a sea of niblets.  No offense, but that color just doesn't do it for me...and distracts from the look of the forum, to be honest.

Ok. It's obvious many didn't like the bar button idea. So it's back to the text version for now.

I know if I had "TS" or "OP" next to a users name or the post bar that we'd be getting a lot of questions like, "why is TS / OP next to my name".

        You handled it well :)

But, the point of my post was, I guess, that no matter how obvious a designation may be, someone will not understand it.

Those not familiar with forums and their associated terminology are going to be confused regardless of what's used. However, I try to think out everything I do and try to make it as easy as possible for everyone to understand. Although someone asked what topic starter was, I still believe it's the easiest way of describing it overall.

Unless I'm mistaken I believe the majority is happy with the current "Topic Starter" text. So I'm going to lock this thread. If anyone thinks up a possible alternative or maybe wants to improve upon it please recommend it now in the TO DO thread.
