Fabbers (a.k.a 3D Printers or rapid prototyping machines) are a relatively new form of manufacturing that builds 3D objects by carefuly depositing materials drop by drop, layer by layer.....

Interesting....so it does the opposite to what those other machines do?
(the machines that carefully drill shapes out of blocks of wood)

Could a machine make Kelly LeBrock like in the movie "Weird Science"? Today's computers are so much more advanced than in 1985 after all.

By the way...

face it, he's shacked up with a 1950s future-babe in a shimmery dress which looks about to fall off and he chooses to keep his suit on, and watch science-fiction on the TV! Guy's a dork. (or a geek!) (or a Computerhope veteran)

Or his twin.

Love these figure hugging space suits. Mine's the one on the right, I saw her first. I guess this is getting a bit OT

Plenty more Here (I love this site)

Yup. Flying cars and robot babes.

Cover picture of "Galaxy" magazine, September 1954:

Why has she got a kind of thin vest on? Why does it only cover the fleshy parts?
What's he gonna do when he fires her up? See if she runs Vista?

Phew - must be raining in the UK.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

Back to the concept of fabbers...

If you can make the "resolution" very fine (like atoms) you can make anything, out of anything.

      Think about it.
