IExplorer freeze
« on: March 06, 2005, 04:26:57 PM »
I am running windows XP PRO w/sp2. Explorer freezes up. Usually lasts 5-20 seconds, then screen blanks out and back on and then screen is unfrozen. After this occurs if there is a disc in the drive I get the message there is no disc in the drive. I have to reboot to end this problem. The hearts card game also acts up by placing portions of cards or whole cards on the screen.  When the hand is over the screen returns to normal. Game programs just turn off and I get the Debug/send info to MSFT message. At times the freeze even blocks the start menu and I have to push reset button. I have run several spyware programs, nortons antivirus, updated drivers etc.  Any ideas ?
