Yeah, okay then. If it starts acting up again, don't hesitate to ask.  ;)

Sigh. Now i have another prob. Just booting the comp takes forever now. I turn on the comp. and it does it's testing in the post bios message. And then it stops, and after anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 min. It finally loads windows xp. The problem is the same in quick boot and normal boot mode. I'm a computer person, so having A LOT going wrong is odd for me.

I went ahead and split the topic. Let's start fresh.

Although I am not sure what the problem may be, I suggest having a look in the BIOS and checking the Boot Order. (Make sure you have the Hard Drive set to boot first)

well i meant booting up is fine. its the post bios message. However I noticed something. It only takes longer if I make a change to the bios, and then restart the comp. otherwise it boots up nice and quick.

Do i have to do that? I scanned my comp. with AVG, spybot, Comodo personal firewall, avast, and mcafee. After i did the scan I uninstalled some of the programs though. but no viruses, or spyware, or anything.

I could suggest Resetting the CMOS jumper, Double checking Power connections and peripherals.

            Have a nice day...

Make sure you arent overclocking anything......Also if you motherboard has jumpers on it, make sure you consult a manual........
