A problem with browse not being on top.
« on: August 31, 2008, 09:57:06 AM »
basically the problem is what ever Im doing, the pane just becomes not 'chosen'.
Like if you have a couple web browsers open, the blue bar on the top of your chosen, or the one you are clicking on, browser is solid blue and the ones not 'chosen' are light/grey blue.
so what ever I'm doing, after like a minutes the top solid blue bar of the pane becomes greyish blue.  and I have to click on it again to continuing what I'm doing, it's not a big problem, but it get really annoying.  btw, after the pane becomes greyish blue, if I do alt+tab, it shows that there is a new about:black IE browser on top, but this pane doesn't show up at the bottom.
I already have McAfee Antivirus+spam already but this problem still exist.

The problem that you are describing is one of "losing focus." The 'active' window has focus; inactive windows do not have focus.

When the browser loses focus, what takes it - what window becomes active? Next time you lose focus, invoke the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and cick the Aplications tab; the program with focus ought to be highlighted.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

I tried that as well, but then there is nothing new under the application list, and that about:blank IE page I mention, is not really a page that pops up.  If I lose focus to that blank IE page and alt+tab, that blank page will disappear on the alt+tab list and that page won't show up in the application list as well.

      1) Try clearing your internet cache, cookies and history. Use CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) or your browser tools.

      2) You may have a malware infection. Look here:http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html and post the requested logs.
