browsers will not display page

web browsers will not display pages. it is connected, i ran google earth and it came up and email works. i reinstalled explorer and installed firefox and it will not display. message shows like it is not connect like you have the router unpluged. its a dell. dont have no restore disk and i went back 4 days, thats all it would let me do. and it didnt work. thanks for any help, sure dont want to restore complete os.

its a dell 8110. it all started when the cpu went to 100%, my brother downloaded mcfee and it ran and will not load webpages since. trying to get on line to download the embarq software they provide . they are providers. anyway it looks like it wants to load but it does not, it show done at the bottom. we pinged it and its connected. hope this helps

Exactly what did you do before the problem? (downloads, installs, ect...)

When you try to get online, does it say Page Cannot Be Displayed, or what?

I have a similar problem. It worked by reinstalling the windows but I bet thats not what you want to do.
