    Saving to two devices Simultaneously
    « on: September 11, 2008, 07:50:50 AM »
Hi everyone: I’m trying to figure out how to save a Word Document or an image file to an external drive while saving to the internal drive simultaneously. Is there a way to accomplish this? I am using Windows XP Pro and either MS Word or Photoshop CS3. System specs: Dell XPS; Pentium (D) R; 3.2GZ; 4GB RAM; saving to a Seagate external HD. Thank you.

I don't think that this can be done. Not the way your thinking that is....

You can use a program like this....

    http://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/

and setup the 2 folders to be in "sync" this way when you write to one folder the program will copy the files to another place in the background.

I've never used it, but you may want to test this:  RapidCopy

As with any software downloads...make sure you scan it with your malware software before installing.  Also make sure you read the installation instructions carefully.

By the way...it's compatible with XP and Vista.
