please help with cmos checksum error

i just built a cpu and when turned on it says
CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded

press blah blah blah but won't let me in to fix the issue

plus its reading i have a 1200 processor but its actually a 3000+ amd
help plaese
???

turn the computer off and open up your computer tower and look for the battery, try replacing your battery. if your computer is branded i suggest you call the manufacturer maybe it is still under warranty and you might still get a free battery.  ;)

    The battery (it's flat like a digital watch battery) supplies power to the CMOS, which holds the settings for your motherboard's BIOS, such as the hard drive information & the current date & time.

    You may purchase one for less than $5 at a computer store.
