    « on: September 20, 2008, 02:55:28 AM »
    Hi,
I have a toshiba satellite M45-S331 with windows xp. I noticed last week that each time i try to close a window, it doesn't snap off like before, it kinda slides down. I've checked off lots of progs running at start-up but it still occurs each time i close a window.
    Pls, help urgently!! ???

      Hi,
I observed last week that each time i try to close a window it doesn't close immediately i click on the x, instead it kinda slides down like water sliding down a glass. I checked off lots of progs that run during start-up but it still occurs.
I also tried to upload some photos from my digital camera using a memory stick pro duo but my drivers couldn't read it cos i deleted some drivers in error some time ago. Can anyone help me,pls? Urgently!!!

      Welcome to ComputerHope.

You posted twice, both with different information, so I decided to merge the two topics. ;)

      When did the problem start?

Can you try a System Restore to a few days before the problem started?

Press [Windows] + [Pause/Break] to launch the Systems Properties dialog box. Here, click on Advanced. You will see three ‘Settings’ buttons. Click the one related to ‘Performance’.The dialog box called Performance Options pops up. Under Visual Effects, uncheck "Animate windows...".

I think this may be an issue that is directly related to the following statement:

...but my drivers couldn't read it cos i deleted some drivers in error some time ago.

You deleted drivers? Which drivers? Any display drivers?
This issue is often caused by improper drivers...

Could you click Start> "Run" and type
        dxdiag
And press ENTER, then click the Display tab, and tell us whats written under the following fields:
        Name:
        Manufacturer:
        Chip Type:

        Aegis

I'm betting on Broni's answer.  I'm plenty accustomed to being wrong, but this seems like Mr. Occam's Razor should apply (and I don't mean his mobile phone).
