Okay, so last night i was deleting a failed attempt at installing a copied version of the Photoshop CS3 suite version that my friend had given me from my computer....and i went about deleting adobe files from my computer.

In the midst of a phone conversation and slight annoyance with the person on the phone, i believe i may have deleted a few key files for my computer:

    - When i open up the search companion to search for files within my computer, the little search dog appears, but no search bar or tools.

-I cannot view videos on websites such as youtube, and cannot view certain images and media from the internet.

-I my computer seems unresponsive when it comes to downloading programs that i believed would restore these lost files..

    PLEASE!!!!! i NEED HELP!!!!!!

       1.  Click  Start, Programs, and then Accessories
       2. Click System Tools and open System Restore
       3. In the System Restore window, select Restore my computer to an earlier time and click Next and follow the steps to restore your computer to an earlier date.

Download Dial-a-Fix by djlizard, save it to the desktop then extract it to it's own folder.
      • Open the folder and run Dial-a-fix.exe
      • 2 windows will open. Close the one in the background labeled Restrictive Policies
      • Check the box in section 1, Empty temp folders.
      • Check the box in section 2, Fix Windows Installer.
      • Check the box in section 4, labeled SSL/HTTPS/Cryptography. The 4 boxes under it should be pre-checked
      • Check all boxes in Section 5, labeled Registration Center.
      • Click Go
      • OK any error messages if received, but write them down and post them here.
      • Restart the computer when done.
      .
      How is everything now?

Also is this an XP? Do you have an XP CD?
