Best way and best software to protect my system from malware and Internet?

Before anyone tells you that,   it may be that someone connected to your internet connection, via wireless?
How are you connected to the internet?

Because if your computer was off on those dates, even if a hacker got into the system the computer needs a physical connection to the internet, while the computer is off, there is no way of obtaining an internet connection.

This is certainly a likely explanation.  Do you have a router set up, bspkumar?  Someone could simply be hijacking your bandwidth.

I agree that someone could be using your internet connection I just wanted to add that if you don't have anything protecting your computer for viruses check out    AVAST I have been using it for a long while and it has done a really great job and is free to download...  www.avast.com
