Un-install iTunes software using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel...

no.both IE and FF have no sound. i upgraded my IE and although not 100% sure, but close,i think the sound went on both soon after if not immediately after.
i took a bit of avice from someone else on forum and unistalled itunes.have yet to find out what follow up to this i have to do.can you think where the guys coming from.

I suggested Un-installing iTunes to see if it was part of the problem here...

Are you sure the registry merge file Broni sent was done properly ? ?

Re-reading his instructions and doing it again will cause no harm at all...

That registry fix is provided for exact case like yours, so I was really surprised, it didn't work.

I'll take you through what i do.

i click on file that you attached to thread.it wont open so i save to desktop.
open from desktop.right click, there is no box that says merge.i restart computer.
i hope you understand what i am doing and i am not confusing you.

Right Click the download file and go to Merge.

unless i have mucked up,which there is a good possibility, there is no "merge"to go to.

                Strange....

So you download this to desktop:
                http://z2.invisionfree.com/ComputerHelp/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=4141692

Right Click the .reg file on the desktop and go to Merge.

If there is no Merge, Right Click and go to Properties and can you tell us what it is?
