Printer won't work after installing new security on computer

I recently updated my computer security by installing the newer version of the system I already had.  I went from Mcafee Internet Security Suite 2007 to Mcafee Internet Security Suite 2009.  Everything is great with my computer but it seems that ever since I installed the update my printer won't print any more.  When I hit print I get an hourglass symbol that doesn't ever change.  I have checked the printer while it is unattached to the computer and the nozzle print comes out perfectly.  Does anyone have any ideas for me?  I need my printer to work soon.  Thanks for any help you can send my way.

can you try self test your printer?

Yes, I tested it after disconnecting from my computer and I got a perfect nozzle check.

well I solved the problem!  I got in contact with Mcafee and told them I thought the new program might be the problem.  I worked online with a tech through  live chat and he walked me through some different steps and voila the computer recognizes my printer again.  Thanks for trying to help.
