cannot connect using ie8

i installed updates one of them was ie8 beta and now i can not connect.  i can connect using chrome, i have made an exception for ie in firewall,still nothing.  i have xps3.  any suggestions?  thank you for your time

IE8 is in beta stage, and it shouldn't be installed on main computer!!
If it came through Windows updates, I assume, you had beta1 installed before.
Do you have SP3 installed? If so, and it was installed after IE8 beta 1, you're stuck. There is no way to uninstall it.

"alpha" is when a company test a program internally
"Beta" is released to potential customers of the release version for bug reports on a larger scale then the Alpha test stage.

so- yes, Beta is software in the testing stage.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
