my monitor says its going to sleep, and then turns off before i can do anything. can anyone help please.

    When that happed to me my mother board had died...Dunno whether same 4 you though?

    If a motherboard is dying it won't take the time to put a monitor in sleep mode.
    Check Control Panel/Power Options next time you boot up...
