    This only started today.
    info on my comp first...

    OS: Vista ultimate
    Motherboard: ECS AMD690GM-M2, socket AM2
    - BIOS: Award BIOS
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000 2.00ghz
    RAM: 2GB OCZ sli-ready branded DDR2-667 mhz
GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3450 512mb PCI-Ex16
    5-port USB Card addon

    Drive config:
    IDE Channel 0 Master: LG HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR-H20L (IDE)

IDE Channel 2 Master: WDC WD1600AAJS (SATA)
IDE Channel 2 Slave: LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H30N (SATA)
IDE Channel 3 Master: WDC WD3200AAKS (SATA)

    no Floppy Disk.

    Intended drive config: C: 160gb, D: 320gb, E: DVD-ROM, F: DVD-RAM.

Now this is how it got to this point:
I installed Vista Ultimate, and it got through fine. First time log in... entered password. then, it decides to be smart and shuts down/restart. No word about it going to do so...
Boots up... Verify DMI pool data. Hangs there.

Have tried going back to factory bios settings. nope... just gives the K8 NPT data change/update new data to DMI! update success and hangs there.
I can boot into a disc.

Can't reinstall XP since i cant find the disc anymore.

Since i have no floppy, its the only part of the stuff detailed on this place' website DMI error page' that i cant do, and when i go to install > repair > command prompty, i cant find a fdisk file. X: (the drive letter in it) is the 160gb disk, its got files there.

I'm guessing MBR is the problem but since theres no fdisk i cant do the fdisk /mbr thing - any software i can put on a usb flash drive to do the trick? or if the fdisk thing is on the dvd - how do i access it from the cmd prompt?

    ...
*rubs wallet, its hurting after buying ultimate*
