And if so if I take two 512 GB Hard Drives and put them into a RAID 0. will they Read and Rite slower then if I take two 80 GB Hard Drives and put them into a RAID 0. ???

I am sorry what I ment was.

I know if I take two Hard Drive of the same size and Strip them togather I can put my Win XP on it and it will work as one big Hard Drive. And it can Read and Write to it faster I get this.

But what I don't know is if you take two 80 GB Hard Drives and Strip them will they Read and Write faster then if I take two 512 GB Hard Drives and Strip them???

I am no RAID expert - and suggest in fact you research the subject on the web ..... try a read on this site where there is some useful info.

My concern with RAID 0 would be if one HDD goes down ... and so RAID 1 would seem a safer bet.

Re two drive sizes you mention, I doubt there would be much discernible difference in read write times.
Ain't technology great - until it goes wrong!
