keeping files in aol after deleting aol

Hello, I need to know if I can keep the files from aol after deleting aol. I have some files in aol that to open It comes up with aol icon. I change from aol to high speed with centennial  cable internet. Thank you.

What files and where are they located (on your computer or on AOL's computers)?
