Hi

I need help to fix my problems with
Error Code : 80070424

This comes up when i try to update.

I use Vista Home Premium and I have a HP 540 laptop

Please try the following:

Click Start >> Run >>
Type the follow command in the Open box.
"net.exe stop wuauserv" (w/o quotes)
Press Ok

Repeat the same for the following commands:

regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll
regsvr32.exe wups.dll
regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll
regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll
regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
net.exe start wuauserv

Restart the machine and try again.

regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll command didn't work, first (reply #2), then, it worked (reply #6)...
I'll never understand computers
