Go into Options > Advanced uncheck Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours

Am I going to do this or just run the cleaner?

Yeah, uncheck that option, and run CCleaner.

I am about to run the cleaner. I see (under the windows tab) many checked items. Almost every box is checked On the heading INTERNET EXPLORER, INTERNET EXPLORER and SYSTEM.

I would normally think nothing of it but when I went to run the cleaner, I get a message asking if I was sure I wanted to proceed because the process will permanantly delete files from my system. (I got nervous)

      Shall I run it anyway?

PS: How can I find you tomorrow? I am getting tired. (11:57PM in NY)

My settings are shown below, but I don't use IE. I use Firefox.
If you use mainly IE, I'd uncheck cookies to keep your user names, and passwords. All others you may keep as in my screenshot below.

As for tomorrow, I'm subscribed to this thread, so whenever you'll post, I'll get notification. I'll reply, as soon, as I'm around here.

LOL!  Sorry. (Just sent you another message. Disregard it)

Was so busy with Ebay sales for the holidays. Was scared to mess with PC because if I screwed up, I would up shits creek w/o a paddle.  I would have had ZERO sales and that means no food/rent $.

Good question!  I dont know what happened but  had some kind of security pop-up come up about allowing something to happen and I said NO. Now all these pop ups are happening and wanting to scan my pc and all this mess. (VirusRemover2008 is one of them)

Is there any way to get rid of all the infected stuff? Remember,  I am not very technical....so go easy on me. Would you like to see anything somehow so you know what is infeced so I can remove it?

Whoa, Broni. That is where we were last time. I read the link and was still lost. When I got back to you, you said somthing about walkig me thru.

                A -Don't know if I have an Anti-Virus program.
B- Don't know if I have a SP1a. (What the heck is that!!)
                c - Same question about SP2....??????

Quick Update to refresh your memory ----> Hubby was the PC pro. He walked out on me and our baby. (JERK...I think he was a closet GAY guy...long story. LOL) Anyway... He was the Pro. He purchased the PC in late 2003 & installed what ever things are inside. Its a Sony Vaio with XP. That is about all I know.

                OK. OK.
                I re-read the whole thread.
A- Yes, you do - McAfee
B- You have SP3, the latest service pack

Last thing you did, you're about to run CCleaner, so I don't know, if you did it, or not.

                  LOL!!

I do not know what the heck I did before by not allowing something in my PC but all these Antivirus2008 and Antivirus2009 keep popping up.  (Just an FYI)

Ok, if you say Ihave McAfee, then I do. LOL!  Your word is better than my guess. Same with SP3...You say I have it, then great. (One les thing I need to do)

I see CCLEANER icon on my desktop. I asume I have intalled it. ?
