    Videos Going slow and Freezing.
    « on: December 12, 2008, 03:03:07 AM »
I am having problems when I try to play videos or use ITV catch up or alike.

They start to play fine then after a couple of minutes they start to slow down. The sound is fine but it is like watching time lapse photography.
I am using avg anti virus, I use coffee cup cleaner, super anti spyware profesional, adaware se and others to clean my pc but nothing helps.

Has anybody any ideas to help ?

    Welcome to ComputerHope.
I have a few ideas as to what might be the problem but first:

    When did the problem start?
    What OS?
What are your computer specs? (RAM, Processing Speed, Hard Drive Free space and total capacity).

I would start with cleaning up some trash like cache, disk clean up, defrag, temporary files, etc.
May be physical memory is just not enough for your system.

Later, check your directX version, video card. If your graphic memory is separate and low it can be the cause. Try Media Player Classic.
