    Installing Windows Xp (sp-1) onto PCI-E Mobo

    I'm installing windows SP-1 onto a newly built computer. This Mobo features a PCI-E x16 Slot. When im installing Windows from the disk, I get a BSOD (blue screen of Death). all of my parts are brand new, i went to tiger direct 3 hours ago and bought EVERYTHING (im broke now)

      Sorry for the double posting (here and in software), i wasnt sure if it was a hardware issue or a software issue, just playing it safe

      How far do you get into the install before you get the error?

      Are you using a "real" XP CD or a copy?
