    Clean up random files
    « on: December 15, 2008, 11:00:55 PM »
I recently found about 14 trojan's on my computer with AVG. When trying to remove them I kept getting prompted that the Virus Vault was full, however there is nothing in it. What's the reason for it being full/what does it do? I had to end up just removing them from my computer which it said in another pompt may be dangerous.

Aside from that I noticed that when I do complete computer scans the amount of files it scans increases by about 50k-100k each time. I was watching a few of the names of files that would go by and saw a lot of files and things from old games/internet sites. Ones that havn't been on my computer/visited in years. Any idea how I can check for where they are and how to get rid of these obviously useless files?

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I would start with the below link.

    http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html

Then post the logs in the computer virus and spyware forum.
    You can't fix Stupid!!!
