    unistalling Software System Mechanic

       I have a desktop Dell with Windows XP,I recently installed the software System Mehanic and need to uninstall this program as it is causing my computer to be very slow along with other problems.Will it be safe to uninstall it,as it says it has fixed several problem in my registry. :-\

    Despite this very late reply (apologies), I have to say this:

    System Mechanic --> Get rid of it now

    There are no such things as Registry Boosters and can be very dangerous.

      I uninstalled this and now my computer freezes on one site.I tried to download the firefox browser and it changed my default and now some of my desktop icons won't open the programs.Any suggestions?

         I post puppies for sale on the   http://www.k9stud.com   site and when I go there my computer freezes.All other sites are working ok.When I removed the System Mechanic and tried to download Firefox for a better browser,it wouldn't connect and said it needed a proxy server,also the firefox changed my default and my icons  of my ATT webmail and ATT internet won't open.I have to get on internet by using the Internet Exployer icon.
