copy/paste adds bad characters to the file
« on: December 20, 2008, 03:09:50 PM »
I am working on Windows Server 2003.  I am simply trying to copy a file from one folder to another on the same drive, but after doing the copy/paste, I open the file at the destination and all sorts of bad characters have been added to the file.  What can I do to stop this from happening?

Welcome to the CH forums.

More info please - If the input file was created using a word processor then you copy/paste and open it with a non-word processor program the WP control characters will be displayed.

Also see this post for a similar unresolved problem.
