Installing windows 98
« on: December 26, 2008, 03:11:41 PM »
I am trying to install windows 98. The installation starts and then it says "install diskette in drive B and press any key". There is no drive B. It does this during set-up and will not continue because it looks for disk in drive B. In addition, I have tried setup a few times and it only completed them partially. Considering there have been a couple of other partial installations, how do I format? I do the following prompt...format c:  It then says incorrect paremeter/ bad command. What should I do? Do I need to change the drive or?

These problems are known to be connected with a damaged or dirty install CD. Try cleaning it. Even better try a different disk.
