Hello all. I didn't want to start another topic on this, but it's been about two weeks since I ressurected my old topic on this issue and haven't gotten a reply. So i'm assuming it's because I ressurected the old topic. heh heh. So I thought I would repost it and if there is just no one who knows how to help me, then I suppose i'll just have to deal. Anyway...on to the issue!
Basically.. my wife's laptop had some issues with a massive infestation of..well, all kinds of stuff. We ran smitfraud and some other things and fixed it..however, ever since then her laptop has been incapable of finding an IP address automatically. It keeps getting the message "Limited or No Connectivity". We temporarily fixed this problem by running ip config /all on my computer, getting my connection information to our mutual router and manually inputting it into her laptop. Now, we've moved, and I tried to repeat the same procedure but it didn't work. I'm assuming it's because I did something wrong, since that would be the simplest solution.
When I tried to fix it, the message changed to no longer read Limited or No Connectivity, and said that the computer was Connected, however it would not load any webpages.
