    « on: December 29, 2008, 07:49:18 AM »
Hello.. Im new to the forum, and I have spent the last day or so reading through different parts of this forum trying to figure out how to fix my vaio laptop. The problem is very clear, I can NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING...... I can NOT even access some help pages. I read that I should download OTCleanIt, but I cant download from any sites unless they are like rapid share and mega. NOT EVEN MICROSOFT!!!!  I have attached the report.txt  from SDFix and the log file I got from HijackThis..... Someone , anyone... please help me!!!! Im unsure what I should do next, since the other users have had their information sent, but only for their system.!!!!!

Although SDFix didn't pick it up, this sounds like one of our most popular infections right now...

Click Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.
    • Scroll down to "Non-plug and Play Drivers" and click the plus icon to open those drivers.
    • Then search for TDSSserv.sys
    • Let me know if you find this or not.
    • If you do find it, right click on it, and select "Disable". Do not try to uninstall it.
    • Also if this is found and you disable it, then reboot and see if you can run the other scans that would not run.

After trying that, can you follow the instructions in the below link?
