    When I forward a message with an attachment, it comes back to me multiple time.  Like I send one message and it is returned dozens of time with the same message.

    Obvious question: (We must get it out of the way) Are you sending it to yourself?

    Second question:
    Are there any errors in the message, or a Mailer Demon message of any sort?

       ;D  I didn't send it to myself, but that was a good suggestion. 
      However, I sent some pics this afternoon to my daughter, and she didn't receive them but the email is in my "sent" folder, and no messages came back saying it didn't go.
      On some of the past ones that weren't received, the mailer demon (or whatever) sends a message back with something about MIME in the body of the message.  Sorry to say I didn't keep them.

      Earlier today a friend wrote to say that an email I forwarded to him with an attachment was received by him about 89 times, but he couldn't open any of them. 
      Sumptin spooky goin' on here.

        I just tried to re-send an earlier message, and it came back 9 times with the following message on all nine:

        Your message was rejected by mx1.emailsrvr.com for the follwing reason:
        5.7.0 header_contenttype_2 - Multi-part MIME messages are rejected as dangerous

        The following recipients did not receive this message:

        Any thoughts?    Thanks.   ???

        Unitil the problem is fixed, do not forward email.

        Open a new email and copy and paste the info from the "forward" file.

        Also, insert the picture inline with the message.  Attachments can aquire a virus while in route.

        Scan everthing before sending.   Your ISP  might have the virus problem?

        Test with another email service like Yahoo.

          Hi billrich.    Thank you so much for your reply.  Yesterday I created a Yahoo email account and successfully sent some pictures.  I'm thinking I should delete my Outlook Express account, or maybe keep it for a span folder and use Yahoo for personal and important stuff.  I get so tired of the spam I get.
          I ran AVG yesterday on my entire compter and it repoted a couple of problems that I THINK I have eliminated.  Nevertheless, I will not forward directly from Outlook any more.
          Not sure my problems is solved; time will tell. 
          In the meantime, do you think I should keep Outlook Express as a dump, or just get rid of it.?

          Try ThunderBird...

          You will be pleasantly suprised.
          Supports multiple profiles/users...
          Supports gmail, yahoo, and a number of web based e-mail portals...

          Did i mention it's Free ? ?

            No need to get rid of it...it's part of Windows.
            Just stop using it and delete the Desktop icon if you don't want to be reminded of it...

                  Thunderbird has an advanced spam filter... you will get the same emails you currently get, if its all set up correctly.
                  You can mark things as junk/spam as they come along.

                  Is what you were talking about? Or is my head off my shoulders...

                    Another action that's worth exploring is to see whether your ISP has some spam-blocking feature you can enable by logging on to your email account via web browser, assuming your ISP offers a webmail option for accessing your email.  If you've never accessed your email via web browser instead of always using an email client, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., to see whether they offer this feature, then you may be overlooking a spam control option that's been available to you all along.

                    If your ISP does offer an online spam blocking feature, I recommend you use it. Then, your email client never even needs to deal with that spam; it's been blocked before being passed onto your email client.

                    I use Outlook Express and I don't have a spam problem; I have a good ISP.

                      Hi.  I use webmail quite often.  I went into my webmail and changed the spam/junk mail settings.  Time will tell.
