my old student teacher rode one of those shopriders and looked like a donkey.  We all hated her

Wow, she really does look like a donkey! Fur, tail... wow. I'm amazed she became a teacher.  :)

BTW Ivy AWESOME picture, especially if that your first one! I'm mostly good at avatars and logos in PSP. Photoshop starts too slow for me :P

It becomes easy once you learn how to use the 'Handles' of the pen tool, and the 'gradient mesh' tool is amazing.

You're welcome, I wanted to know how you made the first and the fourth background?

neat; here's a little disco ball type thing I just whipped up in 3dsmax

that program really took me back...

            anyway, it's an animation...

              lol

the program does most of the work, really. I just had to throw a sphere and 6 boxes and set the materials.

I had much better animations and images from 3ds max, including a "perpetual motion machine" that was actually a project in school.

Personally I prefer working with my Flash animations; cannot remember the site I uploaded them too though.

Also, the last time I used illustrator computers only have black and white! undoubtedly, they've changed it. I might even be thinking of a different program.

Also, 3d-animation is far less abstract in a sense.

Flash and 3ds max, and a few other programs, I had used in school and acquired for myself later on.

my main computer work is Visual Basic, usually. But I've got, er... "programmer's block" or something, just don't feel like programming right now.
