Circuit City to shut down
« on: January 16, 2009, 04:20:39 PM »
Potentially a good time to pick up good deals.

---

Bankrupt electronics retailer Circuit City Inc. said Friday it will close its remaining 567 U.S. stores and sell all its merchandise.

Quote
The company said the sale would begin Saturday and run until March 31, pending court approval.

I'm gonna go there tomorrow, when the sales are suppose to start, but I'm not getting too excited.
Last year, CompUSA was going out of business, and the sale prices were higher, than in regular stores....go figure.

45 out the door is an extremely good price. Best I could find on Newegg is 59.99 (with free shipping) for a Western Digital 500GB SATA. Link

I went to Circuit City yesterday, but it was a line of ~100 people, just to get to the store, so I passed.
They say 30% off for now. I may wait, and see, if they'll go lower :D

circuit city of course.  I could spend hrs in those stores.  Best buy too. I like playing with the home theater room with all those speakers in em and the car audio section.
