Well, those who wonder on how to open an unknown file must go to the location of this unknown file, double-click it, and choose Use the Web service to find the correct program option. You will then be guided to the right program. Then, type openwith.org in the address bar and press Enter. Click on the blank field beside Search and type in SQL or DOC following the period in your file name. Press Search and you will be provided with information regarding the programs you can use to open the file. Download and install the program and use it on the unknown file.

Seems like that could prove to be a dangerous way of handling unknown file types.

I would think a better, safer approach would be to simply plug in the file extension at a dedicated file extension discovery service such as http://filext.com/  or http://www.file-extensions.org/ - you'll then be able to decide if you've got the proper program(s) on your machine to handle the file, or if you need to install said program(s).
