    Belkin Router Problem
    « on: January 24, 2009, 10:34:23 PM »
I have a Belkin G router 4 port. I have a Sony Vaio computer with windows Xp

operating system and comcast high speed internet. I turn on the computer hook up

the router ethernet to the back of the computer to the router then the modem to the

back of the router. I then go to install the software and when it checks for router

presence it comes up with an error make sure light 1 is steady make sure wired is

blinking. The message basicly says it cant find the router but the router is making a

connection between my computer and the modem without a problem. Any idea why I

wouldn't be able to find a router? I tried unplugging it and typing an Ip address into

my browser to configuer the router and that hasnt worked yet. What could it be?
