Computer I purchased at work.

I bought a computer from my workplace.  I brought it home and tried to download AOL and I got a message something to the effect that a type of software having to do with a network would not download AOL into the computer.  We are on a network at work and my old computer uses AOL with a modem.  It sounds to me like I'll need to make changes so that the computer I purchased is not a network computer but I have no clue how to do that.   Any ideas?  Thanks

remove all the old dial -up connections and make a new one manually insuring that you have the dun number and password for aol and more on networking etc here>http://www.wown.com/articles_tutorials/network_troubleshooting/
