I am purchasing a new laptop. At this time I am working on my Dell Desktop and am hooked to a cable modem. I would like to be able to use the new laptop on a wireless hookup. I am thinking that I should buy a wireless router and then run my cable to the router thru to my desktop then my laptop would just connect to the router with the wireless card installed in the laptop. Am I correct here? Does this give me my security I need and also a firewall?
