MS office 97 on new machine

Transferred to my new system when I got it in December. MS word 97 and Excell 97 are both missing files. MS word works after an error message that says some files are missing or damaged, but no spell check and other options. Says to run setup again, which I don't have on the disk from the old computer.
Sorry if you've covered this already, I couldn't locate it. By the way transferred it as MS office package.

does this new machine have winxp on it if it has ..you could have transfered the files from your old hard drive  <using it as a slave drive> on to it...more info here on file transfer>http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q306187   this reply is for winxp..ok
